We're excited to present a Day out with Thomas session for children with sensory processing difficulties.
For this very special session we will turn the sound down and create an engaging and fun space that children with sensory processing difficulties can share with their families and carers.
We will also have a couple of chill out zone options if some quiet space is required as well as child-sized earmuffs from EMs 4 Kids available for use during your visit.
What to expectWe have made some modifications to our displays and activities. While we will do our best to minimise the noise levels of the exhibits and activities, not all of them will be completely silent. The performance by The Fat Controller will be changed to a quieter session.
Gates open at 8 am for exclusive access to the event with Museum AV displays sound turned down and a special ‘quiet’ performance by The Fat Controller at 8:45 am. From 8 am to 9:30 am numbers will be limited to 250 visitors.
At 9:30 am gates will open to general admission ticket holders. Sound levels will remain down on Museum exhibits until 11:30 am when usual sound levels resume.
If you would like specific information to help plan your visit, please contact us on (07) 3432 5100 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
